Introduction
Many women take a career break to look after their children or other dependents and the more time they take out of the workplace the more daunting it can seem to get back to work. Are these some of the questions you ask yourself:
- I need a job but am not sure how to go about it?
- Are my skills still relevant?
- What should my resume look like?
- What type of organisation would want to employ me?
- Should I start my own business?
As part of our ongoing commitment to local employers and employees we have started a new initiative called Women2Work to help women who may have been having a career break get back to work.
Women2Work has also recently reached agreement with TalentDrain to distribute FREE of charge an in depth personal profiling tool called Finding Potential which will give you an insight into your work personality.
Finding Potential is an online personality profiler which enables users to identify their strong points and can recommend types of jobs/careers most suited to their personality.
- Do you love the challenge of concepts and theories, or do you prefer to keep things simple?
- Perhaps you are best suited to working alone rather than as part of a team?
- You may be easy going or driven to succeed?
Finding Potential will give you valuable insights into your work personality and in addition will provide a list of jobs suited to your specific personality.
The questionnaire takes 15 minutes to complete and is FREE to use. Your results in the form of a report (click here for sample report) will be emailed directly to you on completion. The tool is being launched in October 2009 and will be trialled by a number of women based in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
If you are interested in using Finding Potential to kick-start your journey to employment or even if you are employed and want to find out if you are in the right job please register your interest below. If you have any further questions, please contact us on 02 9905 9735 or email info@women2work.com.au to find out more about our personality profiler.
