Criteria for Awards

The criteria for Best Local Employer Awards is primarily based on a scoring system which determines how engaged employees are in relation to 3 key areas:

  1. The degree to which people are motivated to work hard for the organisation
  2. The extent to which they are prepared to recommend the organisation to others
  3. The extent to which the values of the organisation are aligned with the employees

There will be an Award for the overall Best Local Employer in each area for different sizes of organisation.

In addition to the above, there will also be Awards for the highest scores in the following areas :

  • Development and training
  • Job satisfaction
  • The working environment
  • Ethical standards

But this is not just about Awards. Every organisation that takes part in the Local Employer Awards has already taken the first important step towards success, by realising that the opinions and level of commitment and engagement of their employees is important. And reaching or exceeding a combined  engagement score of 4 out of 5 will demonstrate  that your employees believe you are a truly great organisation to work for.
